The Church of England parish church of St Mary is an Early English Gothic stone building on a hill overlooking the village. It was built in about 1200, rebuilt in 1615, and renovated in 1700 and 1828.
Earlier headstones (18th C.) tend to be close to the church; more recent burials are to the North and North West.
